Fiona Quinn is the Director of Friars Gate Theatre's Education and Outreach Department, drama facilitator of the County Limerick Youth Theatre (an initiative of Limerick County Council) and committee member of Éigse Michael Hartnett Literary and Arts Festival. She graduated in Drama and English from Trinity College Dublin. Fiona worked as an actor in television and repertory theatre in England before returning to Ireland to explore issue based drama in Theatre in Education and as a drama facilitator creating arts projects with a wide variety of community groups. She has been awarded several artist in residencies and has been the recipient of funding awards from The Arts Council, The European Commission, Pobal and Irish Aid among others. Her devised play The Voyage of the Orphans has recently been published by National Association of Youth Drama.

19th April - On Saturday 28th April at 8pm join us for an evening of poetry and song with the magical combination of actor Stephen Rea reading his favourite poems and the evocative singing vice of Rita Connolly accompanied on guitar by Desmond Moore.

Please note that seating cannot be reserved for the opening night of Éigse 2012, Thursday April 26th. Seating is on a first come basis, doors open at 7.15 in The Arra Suite, Courtenay Lodge Hotel and seats cannot be reserved. The audience must be seated by 7.45 to await the arrival of President Michael D. Higgins at 8.00 pm. The opening will commence sharply.
