Narrative 4 is a global not-for-profit storytelling organisation that aims to foster empathy by breaking down barriers and shattering stereotypes through the exchange of stories across the world.
Led by globally influential artists, educators, students and community advocates, N4 is developing the next generation of empathetic leaders and citizens.
Since it was co-founded by Colum McCann in 2012, Narrative 4 has run thousands of story exchange programmes in Ireland, the United States, Mexico, South Africa, Haiti and Rwanda.
Narrative 4 has featured on the front of the New York Times magazine and in Oprah Winfrey’s magazine, and has been hailed as a groundbreaking social organisation in numerous other media outlets. In partnership with Limerick Council and the University of Limerick, Narrative 4 is in the process of establishing a global headquarters in Limerick in 2016, to work in tandem with the New York N4 office.
