A statue of the iconic Irish poet Michael Hartnett was unveiled in his native Newcastle West Co. Limerick on the 16th April 2011, as part of the annual eigse Michael Hartnett poetry and arts festival. The bronze statue designed by sculptor Rory Breslin resides in the market square NCW facing east towards the 'rising sun and his native Maiden Street'. Music: Raglan Road sang by critically acclaimed singer songwriter Brian Kennedy.
